Readers Are Leaders Tutors Needed 📖

Our Readers Are Leaders program is still seeking additional volunteer tutors to support students at Bose, Curtis Strange, Forest Park, Grant, Southport and Harvey Elementary Schools.

Volunteer tutors work one on one for 20-30 minutes a week to help students strengthen their reading skills, build confidence, and develop a love for learning. No teaching background is required. Training, materials, and ongoing support are provided.

Last month, through charitable support from Eli Lilly and Company to United Way Worldwide, United Way of Kenosha County, in partnership with Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency, Kenosha County Food Bank, The Salvation Army Kenosha County, Shalom Center of the Interfaith Network, and Sharing Center, Inc., distributed more than 42,000 pounds of nutritious food, including fruits, vegetables, and fresh protein, across Kenosha. Lilly’s support of United Way for the nutritious foods program demonstrates a commitment to bridging gaps in food access. Together, we’re providing opportunity, dignity, and pathways to better health.
