Congratulations to this week’s , Jarrett Rosenberg! Jarrett is the recipient of a WSGC Graduate and Professional Research Fellowship and is currently a Ph.D student studying Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jarrett Rosenberg’s research focuses on the development and application of computational tools to study stellar evolution and stellar pulsation theory in various contexts. Jarrett is currently modeling stellar pulsations in nova systems in an effort to explain the short-period oscillations observed in the X-ray lightcurves of several recent novae, and is working on implementing a new model for thermohaline mixing in MESA, the stellar modeling code, to improve simulations of red giant stars. He is also passionate about the study and application of evidence-based teaching practices in undergraduate physics education. Jarrett earned his B.S. in physics with honors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Congratulations Jarrett, and best of luck to you in your future endeavors!
