ARTS MEMBER OF THE MONTH

With the support of the Natalie Lee and Shirley Madrigrano Arts Foundation, the Club will be highlighting some of our amazing youth artists from our Teen Center on a monthly basis. We work hard to provide our Teens with opportunities every day to participate in arts programs including dance, music, painting, crafts and digital arts. These are opportunities that our members may otherwise not have access to and through our arts programs, members are able to use their creativity to create great works of art.

Did you receive a Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Back-to-School Shopping Voucher? We’re excited to invite you to redeem your voucher and get ready for the new school year!

Families will have the opportunity to use their voucher to select back-to-school supplies and available hygiene products to help students start the school year prepared and confident! ✏️🧼🎒

Please join us in celebrating Alexa Turner, our August Excellence in Action employee! 👏💙

Alexa is a true example of what it means to be a team player and someone who puts our kids and our mission first. She is always willing to step in wherever she is needed—whether that means helping a coworker, covering a shift, taking on additional responsibilities, or volunteering to support the Teen Center—even when she isn’t scheduled.

Since stepping into her new role, Alexa has made it a priority to build genuine relationships with our teens. She takes the time to learn about their interests, likes, and dislikes and works hard to create a welcoming environment where every teen feels valued, supported, and included.

Her positive attitude, dedication, and willingness to go above and beyond help ensure our Club is a safe, fun, and engaging place for every young person who walks through our doors. 💙

🥃 Thank You, Bourbon Chronicles! 🥃

A huge thank you to Bourbon Chronicles for hosting a fantastic Bourbon Tasting Event on Thursday, August 6th — with all proceeds benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha!

The evening was filled with great bourbon, good company, and tasty food — and together, we raised an incredible $23,330 to support our Club and the youth we serve. 🙌

📣 Important Closure Notice - REMINDER

The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha will be closed for annual maintenance starting TODAY, Monday, August 17th through Friday, August 28th.

During this time, there will be no programming, senior walking programs, rentals, pickleball, or indoor sports available.

📌 Front Desk Hours (Limited Availability):
The front desk will be open on Thursday, August 27th, Friday, August 28th, and Monday, August 31st from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM to accept:

School year membership applications
Bus signup for the 2026–2027 school year

We will reopen on Tuesday, September 1st for normal operating hours and programming.

We appreciate your understanding as we complete important facility maintenance to better serve our members and community. 💙

For August we'd like to highlight Darrell from our Teen Center.

🌟 August Circle of Impact Spotlight: . 🌟

We are proud to shine this month’s Circle of Impact Spotlight on Bane-Nelson, Inc. for their continued commitment to supporting the youth of the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha! 💙

Bane-Nelson, Inc. believes that kids are the future leaders of our community and nation and that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, learn, and develop the tools they need to succeed.

When asked what impact they hope their support has, they shared:

“Hopefully with my support, all the kids that attend the Boys & Girls Club continue to have a safe, learning, fun environment and realize someday that our community cares for and supports them now and in the future.”

Their involvement with the Club goes beyond financial support. Bane-Nelson, Inc. encourages others to support the Club through donations, in-kind gifts, or volunteering—whatever way they can make a difference.

One of their favorite Club experiences has been participating in the Optimist Tri-Star Basketball and Youth of the Year programs through the Kenosha Area Noon Optimist Club. Today, they especially enjoy participating in the annual Boys & Girls Club Golf Outing at Kenosha Country Club. ⛳
