Kenosha Forgotten Friends 501c3 rescue to help companion animals find safe, loving homes. Our hours are by appointment only as we work solely out of foster homes. Network!

Remember Mona Lisa who was brought in with her baby last month after she was found in the presidents yard?
Today was her first vet visit
We had to give a little sedative as she doesn’t like being picked up and we knew the first visit would be scary for her !
She did very well!
She got vaccinated and chipped today.
We will do FIV/ FeLV test at her spay so she didn’t get too stressed today, but her baby is negative so she most likely is also.
She’s ready for her spay date Nov 4
Dr C says about 9 months old and very healthy.
This little girl got pregnant as a baby herself! .
They can get pregnant at 4 months old
It is so important to spay/neuter and help stop the suffering of so many.
Many aren’t as lucky as Mona and her baby .
We believe someone had her inside and tossed her out as she definitely was not “feral”.

Once she is spayed, she will be ready to find her fur ever home!

Jangle deserves a second chance

Jangle is ready to move on to his own furever home.
Jangle was returned to us after almost 8 years. They said he was p*eing outside the box.
We had him checked out fully and found he had some mucous in the bladder. This is caused by infection or stress. No infection was found. Since being back with us he does not p*e outside of box but on occasion has had some leakage. It seems to be only when he is stressed as some of the other kitties are picking on him! He is on a urinary diet and does well otherwise.
Jangle needs a nice quiet home, preferably no small children or dogs.
The home he came from had a small child and another was due soon.
He would do ok with another mellow cat or great as an only with someone home a lot to give him the love he deserves.
This boy is super sweet and he deserves a quiet home to relax without being picked on. He is shy at first but warms up quickly. He just needs someone to give him a chance.

Saturday morning adoption update is brought to you by Sweets and Angela (Angie)
About 13 years ago we took in a "feral" pregnant momma. She had her babies inside. They were the "Bones" litter. Sweets and Angie were adopted by their foster parents after the rest of their siblings were adopted.
Mom was spayed and returned to the finders where she turned out to be the sweetest cat ever and is living her best life indoors! Definitely not feral! Remember not to just take the cute kittens and leave the mom behind!
Sweets and Angie are now a bit over 12 years old and loving their home they share with other KFF kitties!

Happy Friday !

Another single bottle baby came to us a few days ago.
This little girl is Eurydice
She’s gained weight since she came to us full of fleas, but now weighs in at 0.52 lbs and enjoying the comfort of the incubator . We are thankful for our fosters that work around the clock for these little ones.
We couldn’t do it without them !

If you remember Kalyani came to us in terrible shape with a broken leg full of maggots needing emergency amputation.

This sweet little survivor may have three legs, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit! ❤️ She’s ready to show the world that having three legs only means having three times the courage, love, and purrs.

All Kalyani needs now is a loving family who will see the wonderful cat underneath and give her the forever home she deserves.🏡🐱
