Upon returning from Milwaukee Pride in 2013, CJ thought to himself, "we need to do something like that in Kenosha". He talked to his friend, Dan, and set out to create a committee to make it happen. In under a month, a small group of volunteers led by Craig and Dan put on the very first Kenosha Pride March in July 2013. Supported by Trolley Dog Restaurant, the march concluded with a small gatherin

g of people at Harbor Park Parcel A-where plans began for the 2nd Kenosha Pride. Returning in 2014, Craig and Dan leaned upon returning volunteers to help lead the event. With the very first Kenosha Pride Benefit Show being held at Club Icon in 2014, suddenly the group had money to start making the event better. Slowly organizing more and more the 2nd Annual Kenosha Pride was bigger and better than the first, with the highlight of the evening being the performance of a New York based musician, Chad Mica. Since then, Dan has taken over leadership of the organization and brought about the very first Board of Directors. Incorporating in 2016 as a Charitable Organization, Kenosha Pride, Inc established itself a Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) entity. Under the leadership of an 8 person Board, Kenosha Pride, Inc has been teaming up with and consulting with other Pride and LGBT Plus organizations to make Kenosha Pride, and the greater Kenosha Area, better for all. If you would like to meet new people who are part of the LGBTQ+ community in Kenosha and it's surrounding areas, you have come to the right place. Look for upcoming events, find a new friend, or just follow the community and please be respectful of everyone! Midwest Mix Fest traces back to Alex Scott, who was four years old when she set up a lemonade stand in her front yard because she wanted to cure childhood cancer. The Salinas-Villalobos family has been carrying that on in Kenosha since 2011.

Here's our piece of it: Kenosha Pride is running the bar both days, and a percentage of every sale comes back to us. So get a drink, tip your bartender, and know where it's going.

August 8 + 9. Pennoyer Park Bandshell. Free.

We need bartenders 🍹

Kenosha Pride is running the bar at Midwest Mix Fest this year, and a percentage of every sale comes straight back to us. Every shift someone covers is money that funds what we do.

August 8 + 9, 2pm to 10pm, Pennoyer Park Bandshell.

Must be 21+.

Two days on the lakefront with good music and a good crowd.

Email [email protected] with the days and times that work for you.

To everyone who took our stages: thank you. πŸ‘‘

The kings, the queens, the poets, the bands, the DJs, the hosts. You gave us a show, and you gave it in July heat, on a tight schedule, after hours of prep nobody in that crowd will ever see.

For some people out there, this was the first time they watched someone like themselves stand on a stage and own it. That happened because you showed up.

Kenosha Pride 2026 Β· Thank you.

Tag yourself in the comments so that our shared community can find your future performances!

Shout out to Midwest DJ Productions, one of our Kenosha Pride 2026 sponsors.

They started Midwest Mix Fest back in 2021 with a pretty simple idea: get all of Kenosha in one place. Five years later it's still going, and they've raised more than $10,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation along the way.

Year five is free to the public. August 8 + 9 at the Pennoyer Park Bandshell.
Thanks for having our back. See you on the lakefront πŸ‹
