A Friend in Need Founded by Heather Bliss and Brenda Rebro, AFIN helps people living in poverty - both locally and glo Lifelong sustainability is the goal of A Friend in Need.

We do not simply give temporary help to those in need, but rather provide them with tools to help ensure a positive future for their families and communities long term, so they can experience fullness of life. We work with individuals and communities who are desperately trying to help themselves. We go beyond giving just a hand out, we give people the tools they need to sustain themselves long term. We provide backpacks filled with school supplies to American children whose families are unable to provide them. We partner with other organizations to build wells for communities in need of safe drinking water. We provide tools such as seeds, tilapia ponds and life centers, to equip communities to provide for themselves into the future.
