Our vision is big, but our hearts are bigger!

Communities of Crocus was founded by two special needs parents who know just how difficult it is to find long-term housing placements for their adult children with special needs. That is why they came together with a shared goal of creating a community with services and supports to help these individuals live their lives with dignity and stability long after their parents are gone.

This community is not possible without all of the outside support, funding, and, of course, the dedication of our board. Consider COC in your year-end giving for 2025. You have until December 31st to give!

We are so grateful! Thank you special needs parents. Thank you donors and volunteer, and thank you most of all to our board! Our little community is going to make a big impact, and it would not be possible without the support we receive. We are giving thanks and wishing everyone a safe and joyful holiday season 💜

HUGE THANK YOU to Tom and Stefanie Roffulo and their son Ethan for putting together such a wonderful and successful fundraising event last week in Kenosha Wisconsin!

Thanks to their efforts we raised over $16,000 for COC 💜 we appreciate everyone who donated in support of our mission.

Also a big thank you to Tavern on 6th for hosting the event, and thanks to the local community in Kenosha for showing up and participating in the auctions and raffle! We hope you enjoy your prizes 😄

The statistics are clear. Most adults with special needs are cared for by their parents or family members, and typically, they outlive them, leaving parents with the dreaded question, What will happen to them when I’m gone?

The Beeghlys share the story of their 20 y.o daughter Audrey, who has Angelman’s Syndrome, on our latest campaign story.

This is the final story in a series where we have been highlighting the lives of young adults with special needs and their families. Their voices and stories are important to us because they inform our decisions and planning for our community here in Franklin, Wisconsin. We are creating a safe space for adults with special needs to thrive and feel supported long after their 21st birthday.
