Early Friday morning, our long-time member and friend, Ginger Fields, passed away in her sleep. She had been a member of Sol-Land Lodge for 33 years. She was a fierce supporter of Sons of Norway, recruiting MANY new members, and selflessly sharing her cultural skills with all who wished to learn. Ginger will be missed.

🇳🇴 🇺🇸 MEETING THIS FRIDAY 2/20/2026 ! 🇺🇸 🇳🇴 Join us at 6:00 p.m. for a potluck dinner headlined by two scrumptious soups--split pea with ham and chicken vegetable with egg noodles--provided by the lodge. Plus, dessert to follow to celebrate our youngest member Søren's 2nd birthday 🎈🎈

Following dinner, Sol-Land Vice President, Laura Kostad, will present a cultural program on notable Norwegians, Helga and Clara Estby: the first known women to walk across the United States in 1896. They set off from their home near Spokane with the hope of winning a $10,000 wager to save the family farm that was facing foreclosure. Tragically, in the years that followed, their incredible journey was almost lost to history. Join us this Friday to hear how their story was saved and how these brave bold women accomplished their feat--in ankle length dresses no less!
