Join us this Friday at 6 p.m. at Kennewick First Lutheran for a laidback ice cream social! We'll supply the vanilla ice cream, you bring your favorite toppings, cookies or other delectable ice cream accompaniment. NO POTLUCK DINNER--just sweet treats, socializing and some tabletop games. We'll also show a slideshow in the background of our two youngest members' adventure to Harald Haarfager Lodge in Coeur d'Alene for its annual two-day kids' camp 🍨🍪🍦

Sol-Land Lodge had a blast hosting the kubb and horseshoe tournament at the annual steak and salmon fry fundraiser at the Sons of Norway District 2 Lodge, Trollhaugen, nestled in the mountains near Snoqualmie Pass and Lake Keechelus. And one of our own was on the second place kubb team: the tall and short of it is Trevor Brain teamed up with Terry from one of the Oregon lodges to bring home some metal! Lois McKinnell from Tordenskjold Lodge in Spokane came to Richland last month to teach two wheat weaving classes to some of our lodge members as well as other friends in the community. This was one of the classes. Their woven hearts turned out great!

A glimpse of the 2026 Sons of Norway District 2 Convention held in Poulsbo, Washington the latter part of last week. We sent two delegates and one alternate: Laura Kostad, Rennae Rosenberg and Cindy Twedt. It was a wonderful week of intra-district fellowship and sharing ideas and fellowship. Our attendees will be sharing about their experiences and show pictures/videos at the July meeting on July 17.

Happy (almost) syttende mai! 🇳🇴 Come celebrate with us this evening at 6 p.m. at Kennewick First Lutheran Church. We'll have a potluck headlined by the Norwegian Constitution Day tradition of hot dogs and ice cream. Feel free to bring sides, your favorite hot dog condiments or other sweet treats. Our cultural program will feature special guest Dick Grinstad who came from Port Angeles to give a presentation on Scandinavian dancing! Hope to see you there!
