📡 SSRA Needs a New Treasurer! 📡

The Spout Springs Repeater Association (SSRA) is looking for a dedicated member to step forward and serve as our next Treasurer. We’ll be holding a special election later this month (date TBD).

This is an important role that helps keep our club running smoothly—managing dues, keeping financial records in order, and ensuring SSRA remains strong for years to come. If you have a knack for numbers, a spirit of service, and want to support amateur radio in our community, we’d love to have you step up!

We also want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude to our outgoing Treasurer, Les Sousley, K7FTQ, who has served with integrity, attention to detail, and a steady hand. His hard work behind the scenes has kept our club on solid financial footing and allowed the rest of us to focus on the fun part—radio! Though we’re sad to see him move out of town, we’re grateful for his many contributions and wish him the very best in his next adventure.

🙏 Thank you, Les, for everything you’ve done for SSRA. You leave big shoes to fill, but we’re confident one of our members will step forward to continue your excellent work.

The SSRA was informed by Ken Ince today that longtime member and previous Secretary/Treasurer Myria Ince N7CCR, has passed away. She suffered a fatal heart attack on the morning of Wednesday, July 24th, while at home.

Condolances, memories, photos, may be left here for Ken to view and appreciate. A service will be announced soon, and is expected to be in early September.

Much of her radio (both 2 Meter/440 and HF) equipment will be sold by her husband Ken Ince.

Please keep the Ince family in your thoughts and prayers, as they navigate this painful event they are experiencing.

But, if you think you might want upgrade to your general or amateur extra, did you know that full members get free tests through our partnership with WM7X Amateur Radio Testing? Now how much would you pay? Well, a full-individual membership is only $40 per year! If you're a ham-fam, family memberships are only $60 per year.
