Longwood Rotarians were spotted volunteering at Longwood Gardens again this week, helping to pull out the spring bulbs for the season. The old bulbs will be composted and new floral arrangements will be planted. Be sure to visit Longwood frequently to see all the beautiful displays they put together throughout the year.

Longwood Rotary hosted a distinguished panel discussion with the Superintendents of all three school districts in our community. It was informative and encouraging to hear the different challenges facing each district, the actions being taken and the multitude of positive programs and resources available.

- Pictured are Dr. Scott DeShong from Avon Grove, Dr. Kimberly Rizzo Saunders from Kennett, Dr. Tim Hoffman from Unionville-Chadds Ford, and our moderator Dr. Barry Ritz.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hearing about the Kennett Future Ready program that just piloted at Kennett High School this year. The program gives students opportunities to connect with real-world learning through internships, capstone projects, attainment of industry-recognized credentials, leadership development and mentorship with local businesses and community partners. They’re looking to expand what they can offer their students so if you want to mentor or have an internship opportunity available at your business for a high school student, contact Kennett High School to learn more.
