The Longwood Rotary Club consists of more than 90 people dedicated to “Service Above Self” and meets weekly at historic Longwood Gardens.

Our general mission is to provide service and seek fellowship in local and international communities.

Yesterday was an exciting meeting full of celebration! Congratulations to Barry Kanofsky for his Paul Harris +4 award, we welcomed Karl Cassell as our newest member, wished many Rotarians a very Happy Birthday and had the honor of hearing Randell Spackman speak to us about the Chadds Ford Historical Society, Thornbury Farm which is the combat Zone of the Battle Of Brandywine and Americas 250 celebration.

Our very own, Bonnie Korengel of the Longwood Club and a past District Governor, was awarded The Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award by District 7450 Foundation Chair PDG Peter Mardinly at the District Installation Dinner on June 25, 2026.

This award is the Foundation’s highest level of recognition for Rotarians, one of no more than 50 given annually worldwide and is based solely on Service.

We would like to Congratulate Bonnie and thank her for all that she does in our community, around the world and for Rotary.

Longwood Rotary's IMPACT series recently concluded a series of Saturday morning sessions throughout May and June. During these sessions, young people gained valuable insights and practical tools to support their job search journey. Longwood Rotarians gathered to enjoy a beautiful day at the Brandywine Polo Club yesterday. We are fortunate to have the polo grounds in our back yard so be sure to visit and experience a match this season. Bring the whole family, friends, a picnic and make a day of it!

After five great sessions, this Saturday marks our final IMPACT session of the spring.

Over the past several weeks, we've heard from outstanding speakers representing industries such as healthcare, the skilled trades, and entrepreneurship. Participants have gained valuable insights on interviewing, job searching, career planning, and setting professional goals.

Another great meeting this morning celebrating our May and June Rotarian Birthdays, honoring Michael Gidlewski for his 8th Paul Harris Fellow award and hearing all about Casa Carmen Winery in West Grove.
