Kennesaw State University Panhellenic

Kennesaw State University Panhellenic The Kennesaw State University Panhellenic Council strives to promote excellence in academics, commun A sorority can be your home away from home.

The Panhellenic Council has four pillars that our sisterhood is based upon: Scholarship, Leadership, Community and Service. No matter which chapter you come to call home, you college years will be enriched by these four tenants. Each year, the members of this council hold prominent positions on campus, excel scholastically and serve the Kennesaw state university as a whole. At Kennesaw State Unive

rsity, the KSU Panhellenic Council serves as the governing body over the eight panhellenic sororities, Alpha Delta Chi, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Phi Epsilon, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Delta, Phi Mu and Zeta Tau Alpha. The KSU Panhellenic Council is operated by executive officers and delegates representing all sororities, and is focused on promoting the interests of social sororities and the Greek community as a whole at KSU. The mission of the KSU Fraternity and Sorority community is to enhance the collegiate experience through community service, philanthropy, scholarship, and social interaction. We are committed to serving the KSU campus and community at large by developing positive leaderships, embracing diversity, and achieving individual and chapter excellence. We strive to uphold the values and traditions of our brotherhood and sisterhood and effective inter-fraternal relationships. As a community we value scholarship, leadership, service and brotherhood and sisterhood. Scholarship

Every Panhellenic woman at KSU shares a common goal: to learn and develop through higher education. Sororities promote academic excellence through study programs, academic incentives, study groups and career networks. The Panhellenic sorority GPA consistently outranks the all-female GPA at KSU. Sisterhood
Joining a Panhellenic sorority is the beginning of a lifelong journey of friendship, support, learning, and fun. With KSU’s student population of over 22,000, it can be a challenge finding your special place. You will share a bond with these women unlike any other. Sisterhood is about sharing in each other's joys, successes, excitement, and challenges. You might even find that laughing and relaxing with your sisters will be some of the most memorable moments of your time in college. Sisterhood is more than just wearing the same letters, it is a sense of belonging, community, and camaraderie. Sorority Finances
It is important for both collegiate and parents to understand the financial obligations associated with joining a sorority. Each chapter is self-supporting through dues paid by its members. While it is subject to change, here is a snapshot of average costs associated with sorority membership at KSU:

New Member Semester: $620
Active (subsequent) Member Semesters: $350

Circle of Sisterhood
Philanthropy and service are a major part of sorority life. All of our chapters have their own philanthropies that they continually contribute towards, as well as our 2014 Panhellenic Council philanthropy: Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundations of America is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Sororities at KSU contribute thousands of hours and dollars to philanthropic organizations each year. The ability to contribute your time and efforts to the community are among the most important qualities you will develop with sorority membership.
