We are so very proud to announce that Racheal's Rest is doing wonderful focusing on healing for women and children under the wings of Broken Chains International.

The original Racheal's Rest's team, Karen McDonald, Susan Hixson and myself have started a NEW nonprofit that will now include ZOOM counseling and intensives for men.

The Rest of the Journey programs and counseling will be geared towards seniors, adult and teen survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

Sexual abuse and domestic violence issues for both men and women are all highly complex issues with many ramifications, and counseling requires highly specialized skills and insight to optimize recovery. Connection with other survivors is a vital component of healing from abuse.

The Rest of The Journey provides separate programs with different "focuses" for men and women but one thing is the same, The Rest of The Journey offers a safe and supportive environment designed to help participants find new hope through private counseling, intensives, Zoom sessions and our restorative retreats.

Presidents Day was originally a day to celebrate George Washington, and then later expanded to honor Abraham Lincoln.

Eventually, the holiday grew to celebrate all U.S. presidents, past and present.

We celebrate them because of their great contributions to the United States and to our democracy.

Thank you to all our Presidents’ past and present for your contribution to our country. And Thank you to kids village for helping with Arlo’s fun facts!

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

His first major role in the Civil Rights Movement came in 1955, after an African American lady – Rosa Parks – was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a bus. This sparked outrage in the African American community and Martin helped to organize a boycott of the city’s buses. After 381 days of protest, a court finally ruled that such segregation laws should no longer be recognized.

In 1964 – 99 years after the abolition of slavery – the Civil Rights Act was passed, outlawing racial segregation and discrimination in the USA.

Thank you to Nat Geo Kids dot com for helping with Arlo’s fun facts.

The Mingle's 2022 Fall Fundraiser is HERE!!

Ticket sales are OPEN and close on December 9th, 2022. Winners will be pulled and announced on December 10th, 2022.

The proceeds will benefit 2 awesome causes:

The Mingle: The Complete Combatant hosts our annual event called The Mingle: Openness to Experience = The personality trait that best reflects the lay concept of open-mindedness is called “openness to experience,” or simply “openness.” Open people tend to be intellectually curious, creative and imaginative. Being open-minded is generally considered a positive quality. It is a necessary ability in order to think critically and rationally. If you are not open to other ideas and perspectives, it is difficult to see all of the factors that contribute to problems or come up with effective solutions. The Mingle dedicates every event to all the ladies that come with an openness to experience.

We hope this 2 day VIP event will be a HIGHLIGHT of our guest's year! "The Mingle" is an INVITE ONLY weekend for women in the fi****ms industry.

With the help of sponsors, The Complete Combatant will offer a place for women to meet "like minded" ladies. Instructors can continue their education and build relationships to support business, networking to expand contacts and to explore our own personal growth in business, tactics, self-defense, marksmanship, professions & MORE! These special ladies are all patriots that will influence, support, and fight for self defense rights!

Racheal's Rest's (through non-profit Broken Chains International): Racheal’s Rest, is a 5 day restorative retreat program that is designed to address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of survivors. Racheal's Rest exists to help women and children who experienced sexual abuse or acts of violence regain their balance in life.

Racheal's Rest's retreats address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of survivors of sexual abuse, and domestic violence.

After fees and taxes are paid, the proceeds will be split between Racheal's Rest and The Mingle.

Thank you so very much for participating in this fundraiser.

We would like to thank all of the outstanding people and companies that donated items to this fundraiser. We can bring you this top quality event because of THEM! We also want to thank all of the people that buy raffle tickets. We are here because of YOU! Special shout out to Heckler & Koch (HK), G***K, Black Target Fi****ms, PHLster, Hiding Hilda, Talon Tactical, Trigger Time, Image Based Decisional Drills, and Smart Choices.

"Fun Facts with Arlo"

Cupid had become linked to Valentine's Day due to his love-matching powers.

Here is how it happened! Cupid has its roots in Greek mythology.
He's the charming cherub that appears on Valentine's Day cards, often depicted with a bow and arrow — but how did Cupid become a common symbol of Valentine's Day?

According to Time, the figure can be traced all the way back to 700 B.C., to the Greek god of love named Eros, who was a handsome, immortal man with the intimidating power to make people fall in love.

It wasn't until the 4th century BCE that the Romans adopted Eros into the image of a cute little boy with a bow and arrow, naming him "Cupid."

By the turn of the 19th century, Cupid had become linked to Valentine's Day due to his love-matching powers.
