Our students celebrated Labor and Agriculture Day on May 1st with a lovely presentation and lunch.

For much of Haiti’s history, a large share of the population has depended on farming for income and food. Farmers grow crops such as:

* Mangoes
* Bananas
* Plantains
* Coffee
* Cocoa
* Rice
* Corn
* Beans
* Various fruits and vegetables

Because agriculture has been so important to the country’s livelihood, Haiti’s May 1 holiday honors farmers alongside other workers.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us so that we can provide these special activities for our precious children.

Our students celebrated Flag Day in Haiti on Friday with special performances and a wonderful, hardy meal.

Haitian Flag Day is celebrated every year on May 18 and commemorates the creation of Haiti’s national flag in 1803 during the Haitian Revolution. According to tradition, revolutionary leader Jean-Jacques Dessalines removed the white stripe from the French tricolor—symbolizing colonial rule—and had Catherine Flon sew together the remaining blue and red to represent unity between Black and mixed-race Haitians. The day is marked with parades, music, school events, and displays of national pride both in Haiti and across Haitian communities worldwide.

We are so thankful for our donors and sponsors who help us continue to provide days such as these full of joy for our students and staff. 💙❤️💙

Last week's medical clinic was a truly transformative experience. Witnessing the resilience of this community, especially the children, was a poignant reminder of the impact we can have. Life in Haiti has never been easy, but in these trying times, the need for support is more pressing than ever.

We are deeply grateful for the selfless medical staff who gave their time to help. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our partner, Paul, who worked tirelessly to secure the necessary supplies and navigate the government approval process.

And to each of our donors, we offer our sincerest appreciation. Your generosity has made a tangible difference in the lives of over 300 individuals, providing them with essential medical care, milk, diapers, medicine, food, and clean water.

Please join us in praying that we will continue to have the resources to support our school staff and students, as well as host critical events like this in the months to come.

Day 2 of caring for a community with urgent needs. 2 truckloads of Bags and buckets of clean water were delivered for drinking, cooking, and showering. Such a basic need that we take for granted all too often. They were so grateful.

💙❤️ Thank you to everyone who donated to the mobile needs clinic to helps us meet these crucial needs.

We are so very grateful for everyone who recently donated to helping three communities of people needing basic necessities. These
Pictures are from day 1 of delivering food staples to provide some food stability for a couple of weeks.

Food is scarce and expensive in Haiti. These people continue to be in desperate need, but we are blessed to have been able to help a little.

We pray that we will have the funds to be able to help again soon.

More pictures coming in the next few days of the medical team and water delivery.

❄️ In case you missed it—our Winter Newsletter celebrates the stories of historical Haitians at this year’s Winter Olympics!

Today, we’re spotlighting fashion designer Stella Jean, the creative force behind the stunning uniforms for Haiti’s athletes. 🎨

Ms. Jean shares that “every single detail of the uniform has specific social, cultural, and historic meaning for Haiti.” The hand-painted designs feature a bold red, riderless horse set against a tropical sky-blue background, inspired by the art of Haitian-born painter and sculptor Édouard Duval-Carrié.

✨ Did you know our school offers a sewing program for Grades 7–9? Your support keeps this program alive—giving students valuable life skills, the chance to create their own businesses, and maybe even grow into world-renowned fashion designers, just like Stella Jean!

💛 Donate today at www.love4haiti.com to support our students’ creativity and future.

Tonight, as the year comes to a close, our children and families are facing the darkness of a situation not of their choosing - wondering and praying how they’ll make it through each day.

For them, this isn’t just a difficult Holiday Season. It’s daily living filled with uncertainty, fear, and, for some, impossible choices.

But your gift can light the way.

Your generosity right now can provide nourishment, healing, education, empowerment and hope when it’s needed most.

It will remind our children and families in Haiti that they are not alone. It can help our children sleep knowing tomorrow holds promise.

An end-of-year gift—made before midnight on December 31— can bring light to our children and families who need it. It can remind them they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Donations can be made on our Facebook fundraiser, through our website www.love4haiti.com or Venmo handle.

Thank you for being the light when it matters most. ❤️🇭🇹✨
