Our 4th Annual Black History Bowl is less than two weeks away (January 15th) from the Opening Round of play. Middle School teams will be competing throughout the community, each vying to make it to the Sweet 16 Round (January 22nd).

The Black History Bowl is a fun, competitive and educational event for middle school aged teens. This year we are anticipating thirty-two teams to compete in the early round qualifier on January 15th, with the Championship Series on February 5th at the Murray Arts Center at Mount Paran Christian School. Teams from various schools, youth organizations, and churches will compete by answering a variety of black history-related questions in science, the arts, education, sports, entertainment, civil rights, politics and more in a fast-paced game show style format. The Bowl seeks to raise and deepen the awareness, while honoring the vital role played by African Americans in the rich history of our country.

Our 2022 Black History Bowl kicked off today with our Coach's Kickoff. This year we have 32 teams registered to compete. Teams representing Cobb County area, Paulding County area, and Atlanta area got their study guides so teams can begin preparing.

The competition begins on January 15th at 8 locations in the community.
