Okatoma Trip Aug. 28-30, 2026

Is anyone interested in a weekend staying in a bunkhouse and kayaking/canoeing trip on the Okatoma Creek in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Aug. 28-30? Cost for lodging and food would be $35 a person if we can get 17 people to commit to this trip. The cost of the kayak or canoeing rental would be additional. Those coasts are Canoe rental-$55, Kayak rental-$44, Double Kayak rental $72. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested so we can reserve the bunkhouse. We need a $20 deposit per person if you are interested in attending.

Last night the Troop voted on going to Blue Bayou on Aug. 15. If tickets are purchased the day of the event they will cost $66 a person. If you purchase tickets in advance you can save money. Tickets purchased today are $34 plus tax a person. The price will go up as it gets closer to Aug. 15th. So purchase your tickets way in advance. Seats in my van are filling up quick. So I need to know asap when your ticket has been purchased. Make sure you take a screen shot of your ticket so you have it for entry. Then let me know as soon as you have purchased it. Also please have a parent fill out the online waiver form.

If you have not already responded about participating in the Pinewood Derby on Sunday, March 1 Please respond before 9 AM this morning. Even if your scout is not participating, please send a message saying my scout is not participating, that way I know this message has been read by everyone. Awards need to be purchased this morning. If you have not signed up with me by 9 AM, then your scout will not be eligible to earn an award.
