A beautiful morning marked the ribbon-cutting for the Park of Heroes at Harahan Playground — an all-inclusive playground 10 years in the making.
This project by Pelican Playgrounds features unique activities designed for children of all ages and abilities. As guests of Councilman Mike Ricks, we were honored to be among the first in the area to experience it firsthand.
The dedication required to take a project like this from fundraising to ribbon-cutting is no small feat. We encourage everyone to bring their loved ones and enjoy what so many have worked so hard to provide for the community.

Left Overs with TPAL (To-Go Bag 9) wrapped up a huge week of events, sports, and community action! Here is a recap of all the highlights:
Move with Me Adaptive Sports Day: A stacked celebrity star-power lineup featuring WWE Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable, WWE Women’s Champion Becky "The Man" Lynch (misspelled as Lunch in the prompt!), and Angelo Dawkins (one-half of The Street Profits). They shot hoops, signed autographs, and hung out with everyone!
ACFL Football: A thrilling game where they pulled off a tight 4–3 victory against the home-field Lincoln Manor Tigers.
WRC Prep: Getting primed and running drills for the upcoming WRC tournament.
Race Day Energy: Witnessing incredible moments right at the finish line for the FRESHJUNKIE Jockamo 5K and the Window World Northshore Half Marathon.
