Seashore Trolley Museum Founded in 1939, we are the world's first and largest electric railway museum. All Aboard!

Take a tour around our campus; you'll find several outdoor displays that show the history behind mass transportation. Explore our three exhibit carhouses and then witness the restoration process of a trolley from the observation gallery in our restoration shop. Hands down, the favorite part of a visit to the Seashore Trolley Museum is the chance to ride an antique trolley out along a rebuilt portion of the Atlantic Shore Line Railway, once an electric interurban route. Our volunteer Operators and Conductors will share the story of bygone era and answer all questions you have about transit history.

All Aboard the Pumpkin Patch Trolley for our final event days through Sunday! We’ll be moving our activities inside today once it starts raining and we’ll make it a little easier to grab a pumpkin by moving a curated selection to our Pumpkin Patch boarding platform for those who would appreciate that option. You will be safe to purchase tickets at the door today for all rides, but for weekend event tickets, a clickable link with more information and to purchase tickets is available in our profile and in the pinned post at the top of our page.

Following a 30-minute ride on our heritage railway, guests disembark the trolley at the pumpkin patch, where each member in your group can select a pumpkin to take home, even the adults! Guests hop back on the trolley for a ride back to our Visitors Center, where several museum and family activities are available, including Pumpkin Painting, Craft in a Bag, a Cookie Walk and Photo Scavenger Hunt. The last trolley ride to the Pumpkin Patch departs at 3PM.

This Friday-Sunday we're celebrating the final week of Pumpkin Patch Trolley! Following a 30-minute ride, guests disembark the trolley at the pumpkin patch, where each member in your group can select a pumpkin to take home, even the adults! Guests hop back on the trolley for a ride back to our Visitors Center, where several museum and family activities are available, including Pumpkin Painting, Craft in a Bag, a Cookie Walk and Photo Scavenger Hunt. The last trolley ride to the Pumpkin Patch departs at 3PM.

On Saturday 10/17 and Sunday 10/18 Crêpe Elizabeth Food Truck will be serving up a delicious breakfast and lunch menu.

All Aboard! Take an adventure to Kennebunkport, Maine this fall and join us for our 28th Annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley, taking place one final weekend, this Friday-Sunday October 16-18. This event is the perfect fall event for families and friends of all ages to enjoy!

Trolley rides to the pumpkin patch depart on our heritage railway from our Visitors Center. Following a 30-minute ride, guests disembark the trolley at the pumpkin patch, where each member in your group can select a pumpkin to take home, even the adults! Guests hop back on the trolley for a ride back to our Visitors Center, where several museum and family activities are available, including:

Pumpkin Painting: Paint your pumpkin at our pumpkin painting station. Leave it out to dry while you enjoy other activities.

Craft in a Bag: Make it at the event or take it home with you.

Cookie Walk: Play as many times as it takes to win; everyone wins!

Photo Scavenger Hunt! Take the Seashore Challenge and go on a photo scavenger hunt around campus, using your phone to document your progress. When you're finished, post them to one of our social media pages, and you will be entered for a chance to win a 2026-27 Seashore Family Membership.

Enjoy our Museum! Explore three carhouses filled with beautiful, restored trolleys and several other precious transit artifacts around our outdoor campus. Check out our new Maine Central Model Railroad Building.

Costumes are Encouraged at our event! We will be giving out prizes each day for Best Costume, following a social media contest.

Week 3 of 4 of Pumpkin Patch Trolley is complete. We hosted 3,027 guests over these four days alone; holy cannoli! Incredible. All of our guests were so kind; we truly appreciate the support and loved watching everyone experience our museum. Thank you also to Hoss and Mary's for being here and feeding our guests and volunteers!

There's one last week and three days of Pumpkin Patch Trolley left, this Friday-Sunday October 16-18. Crêpe Elizabeth Food Truck will be with us Saturday & Sunday. Plenty of tickets are still available for most rides all three days; visit the Eventbrite link in our profile or within the pinned post on our feed for more information and to purchase tickets.

We had some great costumes today. Help us select today's costume contest winners! “Like” the photo of your favorite costume. Even though it was cloudy, a bit chilly, and we had a surprise rain shower, we hosted an impressive 888 guests today! Thank you to all who joined us for event day 9 of 13 of Pumpkin Patch Trolley. The Pumpkin Patch will open again tomorrow (Monday), the only Monday of the year that we are open. All rides except the 10:30 have tickets available. Purchase tickets at the Eventbrite link posted in our profile or pinned to the top post on our page to grab those before we sell out. Hoss and Mary's food truck will be on campus at 11AM!
