Climate variability and change is impacting the marine ecosystems and communities, businesses, and fisheries.

Check out this article in The New York Times about our eMOLT project. Real-time fishery independent data is a cornerstone project at GOMLF and we are excited to work to get these units to every fisherman interested in the program. Science at-sea by fishermen showcases experiential knowledge alongside data to highlight what is happening in our Gulf day-to-day.

Commercial vessels are deploying high-tech sensors to map a shifting sea, providing critical data for scientists and some help for the industry.
