⚠️ Beach Hazard ⚠️

Hazard at Gooch’s Beach adjacent to sea wall

It was brought to our attention this evening that the sand near the inlet/jetty wall has washed away causing sink holes and it’s hollowed out under what looks like solid sand. It’s spreading farther out than usual. An individual fell into a sink hole up to their elbows as the sand gave way beneath them. The area of concern is marked red in the Google image

UPDATE: KFR Crews are clear of the scene, traffic should return to normal shortly.
Crews are currently working at a vehicle crash on I-95 Northbound. Heavy traffic/delays in the area, please avoid the area if possible.

A-Shift did a great job this morning, making quick work of a fire before it extended further into the home. Crews arrived quickly and extinguished the fire on the enclosed porch, there were no injuries to any of the occupants or firefighter on scene.
