Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost

10/04/2026

Today Advent bid farewell to Deacon Marc Gutierrez, who is moving onto the next step in his ministry at St. Paul’s Harris Hill. He was a part of Advent for nearly all of his discernment process and became a beloved member of our parish family. His years of hard work paid off when he was finally ordained in March. Best of luck Marc, we will miss you dearly!

Advent was well-represented at the Buffalo Corporate Challenge yesterday. Dave Klimchuk placed 30th (‼️) out of nearly 4K runners while Matt Morris placed 474th. Katelyn Nicoloff also participated, congratulations all!!

A good time was had by all!

Another great night at EpiscoPints!
Huge thanks to the Rev. Bonnie Morris for such a thoughtful and engaging conversation. We covered a little bit of everything—what a diocese is (and where it comes from), the preference for the Baptismal Covenant vs. the creeds (and why they were written), idolatry, what a deacon actually does, and even unpacked the meaning behind incense in worship.

Thanks to everyone who came with questions, curiosity, and good conversation. See you next time!
