New Time Notice: Veterans Mobile Food Pantry
DC VAMC in partnership with Capital Area Food Bank hosts a monthly food pantry for local Veterans experiencing food insecurity. The panty is held the second Tuesday of each month, March 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Clinical Research Building, Gate 1 at the main medical center in NW, D.C.

Food boxes are offered on a first come, first served basis. To learn more about the Veterans Mobile Pantry speak with your VA provider or the DC VAMC Nutrition and Food Service team.

Seeking applicants for: Medical Support Assistants. Interviews and selections will be made on site.

Interested applicants are encouraged to bring their resume/CV, immunization record, two forms of ID, unofficial college transcript, and copies of certifications. If applicable, applicants should also bring their DD-214 and VA Disability Award Letter. U.S. citizenship is required.

The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center will host its monthly Veterans Food Pantry on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the front entrance of our main campus.

This Drive-Thru Food Pantry, led by our Center for Development and Civic Engagement (formerly Voluntary Service), will provide perishable and non-perishable goods to Veterans with food insecurities. 🥫

Galveston VA Outpatient Clinic opening Feb. 23!

We are putting the finishing touches on our new Galveston VA Clinic and plan to be up and running in our new location on Monday, February 23rd. The new clinic is located close by, at 500 Seawall Blvd., right across the street from the ocean!
