A chance to serve your community as a member of the Noble County Board of Zoning Appeals. What is that⁉️

The BZA is a quasi-judicial administrative board in Noble County, Indiana, that rules on the application of existing county zoning laws that protect the unincorporated areas of the county. Core Duties and Responsibilities include:

✅Variances: Hears and decides requests for use or development standards deviations (such as property setback exceptions)
✅Special Exceptions: Reviews and approves or denies specific land uses permitted under the county's zoning ordinance.
✅Administrative Appeals: Evaluates appeals regarding decisions or interpretations made by the Noble County Planning Director or zoning staff.Enforcement
✅Oversight: Handles matters related to local zoning rules and trash, junk, or debris complaints reported through the Plan Commission Office.

This board plays an important role and offers a great opportunity to share your voice in decision-making to protect community interests, maintain property values, and balance individual property rights with local safety standards. Apply 🔗⬇️

This is our Cultivating Teachers cohort, meeting with Phillip Anderson for eight in-depth sessions to unpack lots of impactful reading assignments. 📚 When we place others' needs before our own, we can do great(er) things in our community! 👍💹
