Sometimes making a BIG difference starts with something really small: simply showing up. 💙

On this episode of Behind the Business, Nikole sat down with Jill Dunham, Director of Community Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana , to talk about mentorship, community connections, and the incredible impact one caring adult can have on a child.

Jill shares her journey from a 20-year career in the restaurant industry to nonprofit work, the challenges of building relationships in a new community, and some exciting successes, including a SOLD-OUT Bowl for Kids’ Sake! 🎳

We also talk about the School Buddy Program, which gives volunteers the opportunity to mentor elementary students during the school day. No evenings or weekends required, just your time, your encouragement, and a willingness to make a difference.

The Kendallville Area Chamber of Commerce was honored to help celebrate an incredible 75 years of Quick Tanks! 🇺🇸

Employees, retirees, past and present leadership, and owners Joe and Nancy Taylor gathered for a special anniversary luncheon filled with memories, recognition, gifts, cupcakes, prize drawings—and, of course, a Chamber confetti celebration! 🎊

From its beginnings in 1951 to the thriving manufacturer it is today, Quick Tanks’ story is one of innovation, dedication, craftsmanship, and people. As owner Joe Taylor said, “Our greatest asset to this day is our employees.”
