Paint the Kenai Community Mural Project and Pen the Kenai Writing Project Paint The Kenai and the new PEN The Kenai is a project to showcase the talents and community spirit of Peninsula Artists and Writers.

Organized by the Soldotna Rotary Club, the Kenai Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center and Redoubt Reporter. Kenai Peninsula Artists and Writers- YOU ARE INVITED!!! Now- April 2013: Registration & panel pick up @ KVCC
April 15, 2013: Submissions DUE on 2’x4’ panel (see registration info)
April 15, 2013: Pen the Kenai entries due, emailed to [email protected] (no entry fee, only one entry

per writer, max of 500 words)
May-Sept 2013: Summer Art Show @ KVCC
Sept 13, 2013: Announcement of winning entry & auction event
TBA 2013-2014: Community mural painting event

Entries will be displayed during a summer exhibition at the KVCC. Selected entries will be included in a book commemorating the projects. The winning artist will get to work w/ professional mural project manager. Selected mural and writing will be placed on permanent display in the community.
