Nikiski Shelter of Hope The Nikiski Shelter of Hope is a shelter for people who have been displaced and are transitioning to better, more stable living situations. Thank You!

The shelter is operated by Love I.N.C of the Kenai Peninsula. The Nikiski Shelter of Hope is a 22 bed facility. We are a communal emergency & transitional shelter serving families and single adults. Participants entering the shelter are encouraged to participate in a PATH (Personal Action Toward Health) plan. Participants who are actively working their Path plan but are not yet ready for permanent

housing placement may have their shelter stay extended for 30 days. We assist the participants in becoming more self-efficient and pillars of the community. Link to donate to the shelter: https://peninsulaloveinc.org/product/donate/

Fireweed Diner remains open. 11:30am - 1:00pm
Direct Service (Food distribution for individuals and families) remains open. 12pm - 4pm

The Nikiski Shelter of Hope is in need of Hamburger Patties, Hamburger Buns, Smoked Sausages / Weiner's, Hot Dog Buns, Mustard, Ketchup, Relish, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, watermelon, cookies & variety of chips. Please drop off at the shelter, 50720 Kenai Spur Hwy, Kenai (next door to the Church of Christ.

Present your receipt & I can issue you an In Kindness Donation Receipt.

We are in need of the following items: toilet paper, garbage bags (tall kitchen & 10 gal size), paper towels, painters tape (blue), dishwasher pods, liquid dish soap, laundry pods/detergent, laundry dryer sheets, Mr. Clean (lemon fragrance) or Simple Green, sponges, food storage containers with lids, dishwasher that works & doesn't leak, dog pooper scooper, twin bed mattress protectors, cleaning rags, All-Purpose Cleaner Spray,

If you are able to donate any of the items listed above, please save your receipt, bring it with the items & I can issue you a Donation Receipt for your generosity & taxes. Please drop off donated items at 50720 Kenai Spur Hwy, Kenai, Monday - Sunday, 9am to 9pm. I am usually at the shelter M-F, 12pm to 6 pm .
