After weeks of holidays, crazy work schedules, being sick, and more crazy schedules, WE'RE BACK IN THE FORGE!

No guests today, unfortunately. Just me, the dog, and my girls running around the property feeding the animals.

The schedule for the next 2 months is pretty full and would really like to spend time with the family when able on the weekends. However, if we can pull it off, I'd like to invite a veteran into the Forge possible the weekend of the 18-21 February. More to follow.

Hope everyone is doing well.

God bless you.

It was a pleasure having a pair if old friends in the forge today! Jaime knocked out a fire poker for his home fire place. It turned out pretty damn good for his first time moving some steel. He took on techniques such as twists, slight scrolling, and forge welding.

It was an absolute pleasure having this veteran in the forge last weekend. It's our mission at Rally Point Forge to provide an outlet for service members and veterans to express and relief their frustrations and stress One service member or veteran at a time, we hope to reforge a brotherhood that some have lost after leaving service and strengthen for those who are still serving.

Words and thoughts

As a veteran, something that has become a serious consideration/thought is how veterans feel/cope and deal with, help other veterans with their/our issues. I joined Hometown Hero Outdoors as a start to try to help other veterans, and have loved it so far. I learned about and their program to let veterans get a taste of blacksmithing/knife making. This is the result of just a couple of hours with Rally Point Forge a knife in its unfinished, relatively raw form, but I’m proud of it. The symbolism/correlation of taking random people/things and making them into something different, stronger, and more versatile by being forged through struggle, and resilience and teamwork . Regular people turned into incredible warriors. is an amazing program/organization that truly gives back allowing veterans to talk, vent , get out their frustrations/problems in a constructive and healthy manner. I will look to support and advertise these great organizations as much as possible moving forward. How you start is not how you finish, you don’t have to go it alone. Help is available ,myself/your battle buddies are a phone call away.

Had an absolute blast and honor hosting another veteran in the Forge! Aaron served in the Army for 6 years as a mechanic. Today we tapped into his machining skills and forged a railroad spike knife.

Today we hosted our very first veteran in the forge! We both tried our hands at two different styles of knives. Carl tried his hand at a kitchen style knife and I threw together a chopper. We ran out of time before we could throw our handles on, but we have already discussed having Carl return to the forge to finish our blades.

This is a milestone that we at Rally Point Forge have been looking forward to for a very long time. We want to invite everyone who sees this post to tell veterans in the Texas area about us and encourage them to like our FB page for future events.

One project at a time, we look forward to reforging the brotherhood.

It's been a rollercoaster of a ride getting the organization on its feet and operational. But we are happy to announce that we will be hosting our first veteran in the Forge next Saturday!

In the future, we will be holding drawings here on our FB page. The winner will be selected to come by the forge and move some steel with us.

****UPDATE****

The website is just about finished! Also our 501(c)(3) application will be submitted to the state of Texas by the end of the week! Once complete, key features on our FB and website will be activated and this will begin to open a lot of door for Rally Point Forge.

We are looking forward to getting some veterans and active service members into the forge!

Our website is just about ready to go. Should have it posted in the next day or two.
