Today, on National First Responders Day, we recognize the police officers, firefighters, paramedics and all first responders who serve our communities. On our worst days and during our most trying times, they always show up, ready to help.

Please join me in saying thank you to all of the brave first responders across Galveston County, Texas.

I sat here for 30 min trying to write a caption for this post. I cannot, for the life of me, get my thoughts and emotions expressed correctly with this.

To those of you who are anti-cop, these last few months have been extremely difficult, I get it. There have been cops whose actions are inexcusable, tarnishing the badge and everyone in the profession. There have also been incidents where incorrect information has been reported, further stoking the flames of your distain for law enforcement. You have often asked law enforcement to condemn the actions of cops that you don’t agree with. Today, I am asking you to condemn the actions that you see displayed in this post.

To those of you who still stand with law enforcement, the silent major. I am asking you to stop being silent. It’s time to get loud. Men and women in law enforcement are leaving the profession in droves. They are tired. It’s not worth it to them anymore. Their families are scared. Worst part is, there is little to no applicants to replace them when they leave.
Your voices need to be heard right now!
