Brethren,
We want to make you aware of a recent scam attempt targeting members of Kelso Lodge No. 94.
An individual impersonated Worshipful Master Dale Ashley using an email address that looked very similar to a legitimate one. While the name appeared correct, the email itself was not from him.
Please take the following precautions:
• Always verify the sender’s email address carefully—do not rely on the display name alone
• Be cautious of any unexpected or unusual requests, especially those involving urgency
• Do not click on links or open attachments from unknown or suspicious emails
• Never send money, gift cards, or financial information via email or text to the Worshipful Master, Secretary, any lodge officer, or anyone claiming to represent the Grand Lodge
• When in doubt, pick up the phone and call the individual directly using a known, trusted number to confirm the request
No officer of Kelso Lodge No. 94 or the Grand Lodge will ever request funds, gift cards, or sensitive information in this manner.
Scammers rely on urgency and familiarity—take a moment to verify before taking any action.
If you receive a suspicious message, please report it to the Secretary so we can track and address these attempts.
Fraternally,
W.B. Micheal Cunningham
Secretary
Kelso Lodge No. 94 F&AM
