The BEAT Project

The BEAT Project The gift of music, one kid at a time. From Goble to Castle Rock, we are pairing deserving local kids with musical instruments.

The Bryan Edmison Art & Talent Project was founded to honor the memory of our beloved friend, gone from this world too soon. Contact us to nominate a young person with drive and talent or to donate your time, money, or a musical instrument.

It's been so long since our last update!! Hope you can join us this New Year's Eve!! We'll be having a toast-worthy punk rock celebration that Brian would be proud of!
In addition to the festivities, we'll be accepting donations of usable instruments. We're also taking nominations for kids who need a creative outlet. Please direct message us here with as much of the following info as possible: child's age and what name we can call them by, instrument they're interested in, level of experience playing (beginner or not), and what kind of music they are interested in playing. We have a few guitars and other instruments that we are looking to find homes for, so be sure and reach out if you know a kid with musical talent or if you know a kid going through some stuff that could benefit from an outlet. Cheers!

Musiciansโ€™ brains show striking benefits.

Last Friday on New Year's Eve, one year from the loss of our dear friend Bryan, we launched The BEAT Project. Bryan was a titan in the Longview/Kelso music scene, a talented drummer with a huge personality and an infectious smile. He was a mentor to younger musicians, a prankster, a photographer, a collector of many things, a son, a father, a brother, a friend, and so much more.

While we can never replace him, we can show our love and appreciation by helping a new generation find their musical and artistic path - whether it leads them to a garage band or Carnegie Hall, to KLTV or to MTV.

At last week's 1st Annual Drumber Fest we raised almost $500 without announcing anything prior, so a pretty good start! We are currently working with several local nonprofits who are getting us info on a few deserving local young persons. With the help of the Kelso Brewery Elves (who meet regularly around town, but are usually found at Explorer Brewing Company) and the help of private donors, we look forward to announcing more specifics in the coming days. If you have a used instrument to donate, or can assist with a donation of time or money, please message us and tell us how you'd like to help!!
