Another Great Day at the Kelleys Island School Field Station!
Norwalk’s freshmen spent the day at the Kelleys Island School Field Station for a fun-filled day of hands-on learning!
We started at the bird banding station, where every student had the opportunity to release a banded bird and learn why scientists band and monitor birds. Next, we collected water samples and headed to the lab to examine plankton under the microscope. We wrapped up the afternoon exploring geology before heading back to catch the ferry.
It was a wonderful day of discovery, exploration, and learning about the natural world!
