Join us for our Uta Hagen Workshop🎭

Kristi Kelley is a Dallas–Fort Worth based actor, director, and acting teacher with a passion for helping performers connect truthfully to their work. She earned her BFA in Theatre with a specialization in education from Midwestern State University and is a certified Meisner teacher through The True Acting Institute. Through this training, she developed a strong foundation in truthful, moment-to-moment acting and emotional authenticity. As a professional actor, Kristi has performed with Texas Star Dinner Theatre, Circle Theatre, and other theatre companies throughout the region. She has also taught adult acting classes at Circle Theatre, where she helped actors develop deeper emotional connection, stronger scene work, and greater confidence in performance. Kristi brings a collaborative, supportive approach to the classroom and is dedicated to helping actors unlock authentic performances through practical technique and focused scene exploration.

In this three-hour workshop, actors will explore foundational techniques inspired by legendary acting teacher Uta Hagen. Through guided exercises and scene work, students will learn how to clarify a character’s objectives, identify obstacles, and use strong actions to create truthful performances.

This class is designed to give actors practical tools they can immediately apply to auditions, rehearsals, and performances while deepening their connection to the moment and their scene partners.
