As many of you may know following me, my husband and I have been planning a church mission for awhile now, but we weren't very sure what that would look like until recently. We have had some incredible experiences the last month that have put a lot into perspective (Mahalo Spirit) and while this is just a rough draft of our mission, I feel it's important to put it out there for anyone else who may feel this calling as well to join us. We already have several people working on making the jump happen for themselves, and it's for such a good cause 😊 for the good of all who have the right energy and heart... The island calls you home, and then you call her home 💗❤️
The Kauai Sovereign Mission
The Kauai Sovereign Mission serves the sole purpose of the preservation and protection of the Island of Kauai and its native inhabitants, their history, and their culture.
Inception – February 1st, 2023
To call this an inception date for this mission is a bit of a misnomer, I can admit to you straight away. My husband and I have always held deep compassion for humanity and have been led our entire lives by divine intervention to realize this mission, but it wasn’t until we stepped off the plane on February 1st, just 2 short weeks ago as I write this down, that our mission became crystal clear. We had not even reached the airport yet. Still, in the walkway from the plane to the gate, we took in the air, the energy, and… we knew. We were home. It was an overwhelming feeling that two people, who had never felt at home anywhere but with each other, any time or anywhere in their lives, suddenly took into their being with everything they were. We had no idea what it meant at that moment, but it was done.
Over the course of the following (not long enough) 12 days, we fell deeply and madly in love with the island, the history of the island, the people themselves, and their history. We learned how this island is where people come to heal, which is our greatest mission as lightworkers, pastors, and followers of the teachings of Yeshua. We learned how this island and the native people have been exploited and are being driven out by the high prices of the land because of the rich people buying it up, so the workers that are supporting the tourist industry cannot afford to live in their own homes. We learned of the direction real estate is heading, and we decided how we can take action to not only help heal others but also the island as well. We have a calling of healing and protection, and here is our plan.
As the founders of this mission, we are starting with our own money to invest in a vacation rental, as a second home for the lowest possible interest rates. We are putting our own luxury vacation home up first as an air bnb, actual bed & breakfast, and in the spring, the whole house, while we stay in our camper or the condo, and collect income while not occupying whichever of our 3 properties.
We have another property in mind with a storefront and 3br home, both. This property will be an excellent focal point for our mission, with a visitor area juice bar, supplied by local fruit, and a place for local farmers to sell their goods, and information on our mission and all our locations available for rent that will help further our mission cause. This investment will take the raising of $600,000 minimum for a down payment, but the mission has a purpose and I believe the land is being cleared for us for a reason, and the path is clear.
Just beyond that location, towards the scenic mountain views, is a 5-acre plot of land for sale by the owner, cash only, up against a protected reserve. It would make the perfect location for our healing center. That land is 1.5 million. He’s in ill health and wants to sell. I believe we were led there as well for a reason.
All of the income after expenses, and modest living expenses if necessary, we will be rolling right back into the mission and purchase of more vacation rentals, land to put into land trusts to remain undeveloped, or with yurts to rent (at a reduced rate to local residents), our own spiritual healing retreat with yurts unless already developed, and eventually houses that we can rent to own to local residents at a loss to the mission, but making it affordable for people who have been born and raised here to own their own home on their own island.
No money will be invested into any NEW development that will permanently alter the land unless it is wanted and needed to benefit the island and people and voted to be in the best interests of all by popular vote.
