We are incredibly honored to share that Anna Coe has chosen to run the Grand Teton & Yellowstone 2026 Half Marathon in support of Healing Hearts Farm Sanctuary.

More than that, we are deeply grateful that our sanctuary became a place of healing, comfort, and connection during a difficult season in her life. Stories like Anna’s are the reason Healing Hearts exists. This has always been about more than rescuing animals… it’s about creating a space where both animals and people can feel safe, seen, loved, and supported in their healing journey.

Anna shared how spending time at the sanctuary, caring for the animals, and simply being present on the farm helped her through some of her darkest moments. To know that this space could offer even a small part in someone’s healing is something we never take for granted.

We are so thankful for Anna, for her courage in taking on 13.1 miles through the beautiful Grand Teton & Yellowstone race, and for choosing to dedicate her run to the animals and mission of HHFS.

If you would like to support Anna’s fundraiser, every donation goes directly toward the care of our rescued animals… helping provide feed, veterinary care, shelter, and the continued opportunity for this sanctuary to remain a place of compassion, refuge, and healing for others.

Thank you for supporting not only the animals, but the heart behind this work.

Donations have been quieter lately, but the needs of the sanctuary never slow down. 💛

Todays hay delivery is $1,585, and while we completely understand times are hard for so many people right now, the reality is this: the horses, donkeys, mules, and other sanctuary residents still rely on us every single day for food, water, shelter, and care.

This is where community matters most.

Even small gifts make a real difference:
$5 helps
$10 helps
$25 helps
$50 helps

Every single dollar adds up faster than you realize, and together it keeps hay in feeders and these animals cared for.

If this sanctuary has ever made you smile, inspired you, or reminded you there is still good in the world, today would be a beautiful day to help us keep going.

Please consider donating or sharing this post. We truly cannot do this without you. ♥️

When you’re caring for over 100 animals, the feed doesn’t last as long as you think it does.

It goes fast… and we figure it out, like we always do.

But today, we’re asking for a little help.

It’s $5 Friday ♥️

Feed alone runs about $1,500 a week, and it adds up quickly.

If just 10% of our followers gave $5 today, it would take a real piece out of that, and give us some breathing room.

A week of not having to stress to make ends meet… just focusing on taking care of them.

If you want to be part of that, here’s how:

These brothers, Magoo and Noble are both at the vet right now getting neutered.

We took them in as babies, so they have been part of the sanctuary for 6 months now.

This is part of rescue. It is not just the intake or the cute moments. It is the ongoing care, the responsibility, and showing up for them at every stage of their lives.

Today’s vet bill is $648. We rely on donations and sponsors to continue doing this work, and every dollar truly helps.

If you are able to give, even something small makes a difference for them and for the work we are committed to.

If donating is not possible, sharing this post helps more than you know.

Thank you for being here and for supporting what we do ♥️♥️

Many of you follow us on social media to see the animals, their stories, their healing, and the lives they are living now after being rescued.

But what you might not realize is that their impact goes far beyond this page.

In my classes, I am often working on projects, writing papers, creating presentations, or putting together videos, and somehow I often find a way to bring the animals into it.

So the people I learn alongside, my classmates and professors, have gotten to witness their stories. And through that, these animals are reaching far beyond the sanctuary, touching lives in ways we may never fully see.

They have seen photos of Indy, a horse born without eyes. They have seen videos of Cupid, the cow once named Sirloin, who was being raised for beef… and they have seen dogs who were just hours or days away from being euthanized, now running, playing, and living full lives alongside one another.

And because I study grief, they have also borne witness to the animals we have lost, those who may have only been with us a short time, but who knew love, real love, in their final days.

These animals have become part of conversations about healing, resilience, connection, and what it means to truly be seen and cared for.

And if I could give them one message, well maybe two, it would be this:
You are loved.
And you matter.

When we are intentional about seeing through love, everything shifts.

There is a quote by Carl Jung that says,
He who looks outside, dreams; he who looks inside, awakes.

I think these animals invite us into that kind of awareness, into slowing down, paying attention, and seeing differently, not just them, but ourselves too.

What started as a place of refuge has quietly become something more, a place where their stories continue to ripple outward and touch lives in ways we never expected. And that feels really special to witness.

My heart is filled with so much gratitude and love. This sanctuary would not be what it is today, and we would not have been able to save or help as many lives as we have, without all of you.

So today, and every day, we appreciate you more than you know ♥️

☀️Can we talk about this weather for a second?

It is absolutely beautiful out today. The kind of day where you just want to pause for a minute and stand in the sun. We don’t take days like this for granted.

We’re soaking it in over here… and sending warm hugs to all our friends in other parts of the country who may be navigating snow, storms, or gray skies. 🤍 Your sunshine is coming.

Also, it’s $5 Friday. 🙌

If you’ve ever wondered how to help in a small but meaningful way, this is it. Five dollars truly adds up.
➡️We have hay arriving Monday, need to restock salt blocks, and we’re due for a few new rakes and another wheelbarrow to keep chores running smoothly.

Nothing glamorous, just the everyday supplies that keep the sanctuary going.

If even a handful of you jump in with $5, it truly makes a difference. It keeps the basics covered so we can keep doing what we do every single day.

Drop a ☀️ if you’re loving the weather.
Drop a 💛 if you’re part of $5 Friday.
Or just say hi… we love hearing from you.

♥️Volunteers Needed at Healing Hearts Farm Sanctuary ♥️

We’re going to be honest… we really need help right now.

Every animal here has a story… some were neglected, some forgotten, and some simply needed a safe place to land.

HHHFS exists because we believe second chances matter. But second chances require daily, dependable care.

➡️We are looking for reliable, compassionate volunteers (ages 15 and up) who can commit to showing up at least 1x/week. Our animals depend on us twice a day, every single day.

➡️We have AM Shifts and PM Shifts daily.

This work happens when it’s cold, when it’s hot, and on weekends and holidays.
Our rescued animals depend on us and we show up for them, always!

*Volunteer responsibilities may include:

🐷 Prepping and feeding pigs
🐴 Cleaning stalls
🐔 Feeding and maintaining the chicken coop
🐶 Feeding and grooming dogs
💧 Filling waters and troughs
🥕 Picking up donated produce (if interested)

And beyond daily care, we always have projects. The bigger the team, the more we can do.

We regularly need help with:
🔨 Building projects
🪵 Fencing
🎨 Painting
🛠 General maintenance and improvements

This work is physical, it can be hard, its sometimes messy… but it’s deeply meaningful.

There is something powerful about caring for an animal who is learning to trust again. About being part of their healing in steady, everyday ways.

If you love animals and want to be part of something that truly makes a difference, we would be so grateful to welcome you.

Indy is a reminder that worth is not defined by what’s missing. That healing happens in the presence of safety, patience, and love.
And that resilience often grows quietly, in the dark, until one day it stands in the light ♥️

Indy was born without eyes and discarded because she wasn’t considered “good enough.”

When she came to us at just three months old, she was terrified… she had never felt the ground beneath her feet or the openness of the world beyond a stall. Everything was unfamiliar. Everything felt unsafe.

Today, she is thriving.
She lives happily alongside four other blind horses. She loves being brushed, hearing music, treat time, and visiting her boyfriend Waldo over the fence. She seeks connection. She trusts, and lives fully.
