Kearny, NJ-based pipe band promoting Gaelic music and culture throughout the northeast United States. The St.

Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band, based in Kearny, NJ, was founded in 1949. Throughout its existence the band has maintained high standards of musical performance in both Scottish bagpiping and drumming. The band is available for parades as well as performances public and private. The organization also free pipe and drum instruction through the Columcille School of Piping and Drumming. The school is held every Monday night starting at 7:30 pm at the First Baptist Church on Kearny Ave, in Kearny, NJ.

Scotstoberfeis 2026: All three of our bands, one great night, and plenty to celebrate! 🍀🥁

Scotstoberfest brought friends, family, and the Saint Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band community together for a fantastic evening! All three bands performed selections from their competition sets, followed by a raffle, great food, a DJ, and some questionable dance moves!

A big thank-you to everyone who helped pull it all together, our talented performers, and everyone who came out to celebrate. Good tunes, great company, and a whole lot of fun!

Rich Fegley caught up with a member of the St. Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band this weekend at Celtic Classic.

Turns out he’s also a longtime fan of our Steelworkers Oatmeal Stout — enjoying it at Bethlehem Brew Works this year and on previous Celtic Classic visits.

That’s the kind of tradition we can get behind. Good music, good people, and a pint of Steelworkers in Bethlehem. 🍺🎶

Congrats to the Grade 3 on their 2nd place finish at the Celtic Classic today! Thanks to the organizers for putting together another great event in spite of the weather.
