We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a $4000 Farm to School Competitive Grant by the West Virginia Department of Education, Office of Child Nutrition!
We will be expanding our already established Grandma Miley’s Garden with more raised beds, irrigation, composting bins so the children can grow their own fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables!
Our goal is to provide children, families, and staff with year round learning about where food comes from, how it grows, and how it fuels their bodies. We also aim to foster an appreciation and relationships with our local farmers and community.
