It’s sale day and not to late to reach out if you feel so inclined 🤠

A sincere thank you to everyone that contributed to our 2026 endeavor.

Please come and support the exhibitors that have worked hard this week, this year, and some for the last 2 years on their market animals. For those potential buyers that may want to remain anonymous or for whatever reason, cannot individually purchase an animal, please consider contributing to SPRY. No amount is too small or too large and it’s never too late. Please direct message or reach out for more information or to make your tax deductible contribution.

Tomorrow, I will be sharing our 2025 photos and an updated post regarding this year’s 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale

In 2017 the idea to create a group to support our local youth was born. This group is intended to provide a confidential place for individuals, businesses, and any other entity that wants to anonymously contribute to the purchase of 4H and/or FFA market livestock projects at our local Jefferson County (WV) Fair.

Year after year this concept has grown. As we continue to support the youth by collecting various amounts, it enables us to purchase market animals at the end of the fair week live auction. After the purchase, we provide the youth with information on the non-profit organization.

As part of this success, we are now SPRY Non-Profit. This is very exciting and we look forward to continuing to support our youth in many ways.

Thank you to each and every individual and business that has reached out and supported SPRY to this point. Although we haven’t matched last year’s total, I’m confident that the next 24 hours (last 24 hours before the sale) will boost us to our goal as in year’s past. Please consider donating (every dollar is sincerely appreciated, makes a tremendous difference, and absolutely no amount is too small or too large) and/or sharing this post. Please "Like"|"Follow"|

For any new members or friends, here’s a synapses of SPRY.

The 2024 Jefferson County Fair was a great success. A huge thank you to our many anonymous contributors. We were fortunate enough to support 3 very appreciative young exhibitors and sponsor 10 special awards at the Saturday evening ceremony.

The 2025 fair is now upon us. Please consider donating (every dollar is sincerely appreciated, makes a tremendous difference, and absolutely no amount is too small or too large) and/or sharing this post. 🐇🐐🐑🐖🐂🐄🥛Sale day is upon us. Like it was yesterday, I can remember the anxiety as a seller’s parent… Watching the mix of emotions our children felt from the first year selling to the last… The wonderment of whether they would be recognized for their hard work that led them to this point… Their efforts to hand deliver their seller’s letters, shake their potential buyers’ hands, look them in the eye, converse with them about themselves and their market animal projects… The auctioneer announcing their name at the sale signifying the unofficial end of another great fair week… The satisfaction witnessing our children, the children of friends, and the, once complete strangers, now friends, have a successful finale. This is why SPRY was created and thrives today.

For anyone that is on the fence, sign your child up for 4-H or FFA. They’re both life guiding organizations and will make both your children and you better, more knowledgeable, well rounded people.

Please consider messaging this page, Ronnie Crockett’s personal page or texting/calling 304-997-0023 (side note: Cell service at the fairgrounds is not the greatest so please have patience if you don’t receive an immediate response.) to make a donation… none too small or too large and all will be accepted whether received ahead of the 12pm start time or after 👍🏻🤠
