The university's new Loper Flight Academy represents a major expansion of its aviation program, providing flight training for students and community members while operating a fleet of seven new aircraft. By bringing flight operations in-house, UNK is creating more opportunities for aspiring pilots and aviation professionals across central and western Nebraska.

Through the Rural Immersion Program, students shadow healthcare professionals, explore multiple hospital departments, and gain real-world experience while learning how providers work together to serve Nebraska communities. UNK’s Delta Tau Delta fraternity is once again being recognized among the best collegiate chapters in North America.

The Theta Kappa Chapter will receive the Chapter Award of Distinction from the North American Interfraternity Conference, an honor that recognizes excellence in operations, campus involvement, leadership, service and the overall fraternity experience.
