From Job Olympics to the 2026 Special Olympics, it’s exciting to cheer on our favorite competitors!

Earlier this year, we cheered on participants at our local Job Olympics as they showcased their skills, determination, and teamwork. This week, that same spirit is on display in Minneapolis as nearly 3,000 athletes from across the country compete in the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.

ESPN+ is streaming events throughout the week, including track and field, swimming, powerlifting, and flag football. You can find the schedule here: https://2026specialolympicsusagames.org/news/espns-coverage-of-2026-special-olympics-usa-games

At The Fulfillment House, we believe everyone deserves opportunities to learn, grow, compete, and contribute. Whether it's on the playing field, at Job Olympics, or in the workplace, success comes in many forms.

Join us in cheering on these incredible athletes and celebrating the power of inclusion.

Begins June 20, live from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis!

We love going to Royals Games and think you will, too!

Up for auction are 4 Royals tickets with assigned seats, usable before September 24 (excluding blackout dates). All proceeds from the winning bidder go to our new warehouse capital campaign fund. Every dollar counts!

To bid on the tickets: input the amount you want to bid in the comments below or send us a Facebook message referencing this post (if you want to stay anonymous).

The winning bidder gets the tickets and the satisfaction of donating to our new space, which will help us offer even more jobs to adults with special needs and disabilities.

What does success look like for The Fulfillment House?

For many organizations, success is measured in stakeholder return through production and revenue growth. Revenue and growth are important to us, too, but our success goes beyond creating wealth for stakeholders. We’re thinking about youth and young adults with disabilities who are 11.6 percent less likely to be employed than their peers without disabilities. That’s why our key performance indicators may include the usual revenue growth and production goals, but they drive our ability to hire more associates, helping us give them opportunities to contribute in meaningful ways, develop new skills, gain confidence, and build healthy relationships.

Every package shipped, order fulfilled, or print project completed represents another step toward growth and independence. That's a result worth measuring.

Effective technology empowers people.

It’s changing how work gets done, helping create more inclusive work environments and opening new opportunities for people of all abilities.

In the logistics world, warehouse management systems, barcode scanners, mobile devices, workflow automation, and assistive technologies are helping employees learn tasks faster, work more independently, and contribute in meaningful ways.

At The Fulfillment House, our associates use technology every day to manage inventory, process orders, and support our customers. The U.S. Department of Labor notes that accessible technology can increase hiring, job success, and career advancement for people with disabilities, while research shows assistive technologies can improve employability, productivity, and workplace inclusion. We believe organizations that leverage technology to support diverse workforces are better positioned for long-term success.

Employment for adults with disabilities rose slightly in March.

According to the National Trends in Disability Employment (nTIDE) report, the employment-to-population ratio for working-age adults with disabilities increased from 38.1 percent to 38.5 percent from February 2026 to March 2026. In contrast, the employment-to-population ratio of people without disabilities increased from 74.5 percent to 74.8 percent.

There are many possible reasons for this modest increase, but one thing is clear: there is still work to do. These numbers reflect a growing recognition that people with disabilities bring valuable skills, perspectives, and contributions to the workforce.

At The Fulfillment House, we see the value that employment creates. Our associates have more opportunities for independence, confidence, skill development, and community connection.

Businesses and non-profits that embrace inclusive hiring are strengthening their workforce and expanding opportunity within their communities.

Curious what we accomplished in May? Here’s our monthly recap!

We had a big month. We broke ground on our new building, took a team trip to the movies, completed Job Coach training on our new 3PL software which means we can start training our Associates on it, and so much more.

Did you know May is our biggest birthday month? We have a whopping eight May birthdays here at FH!

We also have some exciting team events coming up, including a Royals game outing, our fantasy football draft party, and more.

Thank you to everyone who supports us. You help make all of this possible for our Associates!
