Many adults with special needs and developmental disabilities want to work and are fully capable of contributing in meaningful ways, but barriers to employment still remain one of the biggest challenges facing their community today.

After a long Memorial Day weekend, carriers across the country prepare for one of the busiest shipping days of the week as orders, mail, and fulfillment volume stack into Tuesday deliveries.
At The Fulfillment House, our associates are back at it, packing, printing, organizing, and helping keep products moving for businesses and customers who count on reliable fulfillment.
Every shipment represents meaningful work, opportunity, and purpose for adults with special needs in our community.

We recently migrated to Warehance, a new Warehouse Management Software, and it’s been an exceptional experience. Our associates and coaches are diving in, and we’re packaging and shipping more than ever.

Have you ever thought about what happens after you click “buy now” online? A Warehouse Management System helps businesses track inventory, organize orders, and ensure products are packed and shipped accurately and on time.

For a 3PL (third-party logistics provider) like The Fulfillment House, that means we help other businesses store products, fulfill orders, and handle shipping so they can focus on growing their companies.

Technology like this empowers our associates, helps them learn new skills, builds their confidence, and helps businesses across the country get products into customers’ hands every day.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate for people with a disability rose to 8.3 percent in 2025. That about doubles the 4.1 percent rate for those without a disability.

At the Fulfillment House, we’re trying to push that number back down, and you can help.

Every print, design, or package you ship with us helps us employ adults with special needs and disabilities.

Last Friday, the Fulfillment House associates had an amazing time volunteering at the !

Our team worked hard stocking shelves, organizing food, and helping prepare items for families in the community. Everyone brought great energy, teamwork, and lots of smiles.

We are so proud of our associates for giving back and making a difference in Kearney. Thank you to the Kearney Food Pantry for welcoming us!

We had a great night at the movies!

At Fulfillment House, we don’t simply show up to work; we build a community for our associates. Every day we teach a class. It could be about finances, staying safe online, or cooking safely in the microwave. And every month, we organize an activity outside of work, something that helps our Fulfillment House family stay connected beyond the warehouse and print shop.

Last night we gathered at the B&B Theatres Cinema 12 in Liberty to see Animal Farm. Everyone loves movie night, especially when we get an auditorium to ourselves. It gives associates and job coaches a chance to hang out, relax, and get lost in a story. And we love B&B Theater, especially since they are a locally owned operation with a long history of supporting the special needs community.

Opportunity starts with skill-building.

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, as of the 2022/23 school year, about 7.5 million students aged 3 to 21 receive services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). After graduation, barriers to employment can be a challenge. That’s where organizations like Fulfillment House step in.

We create a bridge between education and real-world employment by teaching job-ready skills, building confidence, and providing structured, supportive work environments. Schools and other programs send their kids our way before graduation to learn, and after, we offer employment when available. We have a waitlist, but are doing everything in our power to grow and offer more employment opportunities to our favorite people. That's why we're raising money to build a new warehouse so we can continue growing the Fulfillment House family.

We’re excited to keep growing, and next year, this new space will help us expand services and better support our Associates, customers, and community.
