We know it’s a scorcher ☀️ but we could use all the help we could get at taking down the large flags and poles, gathering graveside flags, and folding the large ones for storage.

Thank you again for all your help— we could not do this without all the volunteers each year.

Please join us Monday morning at 10 AM at the cemetery for the Memorial Day service.

There is limited seating on the bleachers so you might want to bring your own lawn chair or a blanket to sit on.

If you are unable to attend, you can watch it live on our page.

Thank you to a couple of girls from our team who showed up today to help with what Katie’s grandparents started at the Kearney Cemetery. They learned about gravestones: how to read them, that couples get buried together, that people buy stones before they pass, etc. in addition to what the grave markers meant that we placed flags on, and what we do each year to honor our fallen vets.

We appreciate your help girls! 🇺🇸

If you would like to view the service we put on Monday at 10am, we do stream via Facebook or you can certainly show up at the cemetery.

We also do collect flags (weather permitting) Monday at 4pm if you are around and would like to volunteer.

Thank you to all the volunteers who came out this morning to raise 500 casket flags and put 1800 smaller flags on graves. It was awesome to see so many families teaching their children to honor our veterans. We are very appreciative!

Even before the Constitution was signed, there was the U.S. Navy. And today marks 250 years of service.

To the generations who’ve served and the families who’ve stood beside them, thank you for defending freedom across the seas. 🇺🇸 ⚓
