Leadership is about learning, sharing, and seeing the difference we can make together! 💙

We enjoyed visiting with the Kearney Chamber Leadership Academy and sharing what we do, why we do it, and the individual vision each of us has for serving our community.

Thank you to the Kearney Chamber for bringing together local leaders and organizations like Kearney Rotary, the Kearney Food Pantry, and the Kearney Family Foundation. Different missions, a shared commitment to making Kearney a better place! ❤️

What is a Little Pantry or in our case, a Not-So Little Pantry?

It's a community pantry where anyone can take what they need, when they need it. No forms, no questions, no appointment necessary.

Sometimes a little help can make a big difference. A can of soup, a box of cereal, or a few snacks can help someone stretch their grocery budget until the next paycheck.

It's a simple way for neighbors to help neighbors.

❤️ Rotary helped put it there, but the community is what makes it work.

Take what you need. Leave what you can.

The Notso Little Pantry is doing exactly what we hoped it would do — helping our neighbors when they need a little extra. ❤️

We’ve seen the pantry being used, and that’s a pretty wonderful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a real difference right here in our community.

And now, we’d love to see the community help keep it stocked.

If you’re at the grocery store and can pick up an extra box of cereal, canned goods, pasta, peanut butter, snacks, or other shelf-stable items, consider sharing them with the pantry. There’s no need to fill a grocery cart — one or two extra items can help.

The idea has always been simple: take what you need, give what you can.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Notso Little Pantry possible — and to those who are helping keep it going. This is what community looks like. ❤️

A Little Pantry, A Big Community 💙

It’s been a project in the making for a little while, and the Kearney Rotary Club is making it a reality! 🎉

We’ve installed our community Notso Little Pantry—a place where neighbors can give what they can and take what they need. ❤️

Over the next several days, we’ll be stocking the pantry with shelf-stable food and other essentials. And then, on Tuesday, August 18 at 5:00 PM, we’ll officially celebrate with a Ribbon Cutting!

We’d love for the community to join us! Bring along a few shelf-stable items to help us stock the pantry, come celebrate this new community resource, and help us say thank you to the wonderful community partners who helped make this project possible.

📍 The House Parking Lot
110 E. 6th Street, Kearney, MO 64060
📅 Tuesday, August 18
⏰ 5:00 PM

A little pantry can make a big difference—and we’re excited to see what happens when a community comes together to fill it. 🥫❤️

Come celebrate, bring a little something to share, and help us fill the Notso Little Pantry!
