The mission of the Kearney Area Arts Council is to expand the arts in their community, to increase diversity in the arts, to promote artists and their work and to develop activities that encourage the community to practice and appreciate the arts.

We are already working on next year’s Summer Concerts! The calendar says that the first Sunday in July is July 4th🇺🇸🇺🇸, so our question is: would you attend a concert that evening?

Thank you to our Summer of 2026 bands for our concert series in Harmon Park!
Remnants, Blue Plate Special, Relevant, Flatwater JaZZ with Vickie Nielsen, West Wind, BD& the Boys, Lee & the Rustics, and Blackberry Winter entertained us for eight, great weeks!
Thank you to all the members of the bands!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Summer Concerts! We had a couple of HOT evenings!
We appreciate your attendance and donations. Some of you have asked if we pay the bands. Yes, they are paid! The concert sponsor pays a portion of that, and KAAC pays the rest from donations.

Thank you to Budda’s Meats, the Scouts, and MKS Truck for being dedicated food vendors. Please thank them when you see them at other functions.

Thank you to everyone who attended the concert tonight. It was a little warm, but the music was great! Thanks to Lee and the Rustics !

Next Sunday is our last concert so we hope to see you there! Blackberry Winter is on stage from 7-8:30 pm.

Lee and the Rustics take the stage tonight. We know the temperatures are a little bit warmer than ideal, but there is plenty of shade in the park. Stay cool with water from the Scouts and icy treats from MKS Truck. Budda’s meats is a great place to have something to eat if you don’t want to cook tonight.

BD and the Boys takes the stage tonight to end Cruise Week in Kearney. Join us for some great songs from the 60’s and 70’s!
Cool off with treats from MKS truck and the Scouts or have a meal from Budda’s Meats
See you in Harmon Park! Food trucks are there around 6 pm and the concert begins at 7.

Flatwater Jazz is a group of talented area musicians. Add soloist Vickie Nielsen to this group and you have 90 minutes of great music! Thanks to all the musicians and those in the audience who attended our concert series last evening!
