Are you up for a little friendly competition? Well, we have you covered. The Barmaid race is a big hit with a first-place prize of $150 and best costume of $100. We also have Stein Holding, and Keg Rolling competitions too. These three events will take place on West Washington by the Stage at 3 pm. Over in Lions Park at 5 pm you can find the ever popular Keg Toss. Come early to sign up for the competitions at the Nelson Home Group Main Stage on Washington. Are you excited for Oktoberfest? The carnival will be so much fun, we are bringing back the tried and true inflatables and adding a few mechanical rides too! Come to East Washington Street, Downtown Kearney on October 7th to have a blast with the Mini Golf, Axe Throwing, Ballistic, and more.

Stop by Lions Park between 12-6 pm for the Toddler Playland, offering free activities for the little tykes.

Cheers or Prost! As they say at Oktoberfest. Check out the drink selections the Knights of Columbus will offer this year. They will also have food, offering bratwurst, Pretzels w/cheese, and Popcorn. Are you ready for the Chicken Dance, a fun little jig to Polka Music? The Brian McCarty Band a staple of the Kearney Oktoberfest will be back again this year to play their lively music in the Lions Park Bandshell from 12-4 pm. Stay around to enjoy the sounds of local favorite The Craftsmen who will delight up from 5-7 pm. Oktoberfest will take place on October 7th in Downtown Kearney from 12-8 pm. Oktoberfest is a fundraiser for three local not-for-profit organizations, the Kearney Food Pantry, the Fulfillment House, and the Kearney Enrichment Council. You spoke we listened! We dropped the Oktoberfest entrance fee. Now you only pay a $15 wristband fee per rider in the carnival area on East Washington Street. Did you hate paying for the ID band to drink alcohol? Well we removed that too. You can shop, listen to music, participate in competitions all for free, along with a toddler play area in Lions Park for free too! Come out October 7th to enjoy the festivities in Downtown Kearney. Oktoberfest runs from 12-8pm, with the carnival running from12-6pm. https://fb.me/e/ttSYxcUz
