We recently hosted Gina Young and staff members of the East Maui Water Authority at our Lo'i, where we exchanged knowledge on traditional practices and highlighted the significance of preserving the ancient waterways in their natural, unobstructed state. We are grateful for their visit and the opportunity to share our insights.

Today we had a Mizu-Wai workshop: Weaving Stories of East Maui Waterways. We got to share mo’olelo and fellowship with Corinne and her husband Kurt, and gather some lau for her next papa.

Mahalo to the Kūpuna who were able to come and learn more about Corinne’s connection with Maui Hikinas’ Waterways, and for customizing your nalanala and weaving your mo’olelo into it.

We got to see ‘ohana that we haven’t seen in a long time.
