Back in 2006 when Nancy and I first met Kombo Ali he was a very shy boy just trying to feed his siblings and hope for a chance at education. Helping Kombo with a scholarship to attend secondary school was our first involvement with Koins for Kenya. Yesterday (December 9th) Kombo was married. Kombo’s headmaster and mentor, George Kihoro was able to attend his wedding and send some pictures. Kombo has come a long way in 10 years. He has an accounting degree, passed the CPA test and now works as an accountant for the county government. Attached are pictures from 2006 and some from his wedding day. The change is dramatic. He looks good and he looks happy. We are proud of the young man he has become.

One of the things you can do to help in Mnyenzeni is donate a desk - which will get our kids off the floors and into a better situation for learning. $ 40.00 will get you a desk with your name on it - and a child who is happy!
