It’s that time where the babies to the makua to our kūpuna share in what they have learned up until now, from protocols, to oli, ho’okupu, kīhei, kāpala, nane huna, wahi pana……so much. They worked so hard and truly have presented to their community successfully already multiple times. Now we want to share that with their family and friends and those interested in learning about Moʻo I Nā Pūnāwai in hopes to establish this in their community.

We are conscious and we are aware. We understand the kuleana and what comes with it all, we know the answers are in the mo’olelo. We are not to fear the past but to learn from it. We cannot deny who we are because it’s a part of us. Kū ʻAʻahu teaches us to listen, to learn, to observe, to connect and to see ourselves in the multiple layers of time. Here we are in the cradle, prior to the season where the winds arrive acknowledging Hina and her wind gourd Wawanuiʻaho and the mo’olelo of Laʻamaomao.
