A heartfelt mahalo to Senator DeCoite Senator Lynn DeCoite for taking the time to honor an exceptional leader in our community!
The Senate recognizes and honors Jodi Puaoi Vice President and Branch Manager at American Savings Bank, Molokai Branch, for her unwavering commitment to our keiki and the prevention of child abuse and assault on our island. Since the inaugural Keiki Fest in 2018, Jodi has been a cornerstone of support, helping to create one of the most impactful community events on Molokai.
Through her multi-year funding support via ASB HAWAII and tireless volunteer efforts, Jodi has led by example, contributing to the smooth operation of Keiki Fest, which now serves more than 400 children and their families each year. This event, held annually in April, offers a full day of free, family-friendly programming, including art, music, educational games, and access to community resources.
Jodiβs spirit of aloha, leadership, and deep care for her community have transformed Keiki Fest into a vital initiative dedicated to protecting, celebrating, and uplifting Molokai's keiki. As we approach 2025, the final year of direct funding from American Savings Bank, we express our heartfelt gratitude for the lasting legacy that Jodi has fostered through her leadership and vision.
Having lived on Molokai for over 50 years, Jodi is not just a devoted mother and stepmother but also a beloved figure in our community. Known affectionately as "the bank lady," she has dedicated over 30 years to American Savings Bank, consistently exceeding expectations with humility and grace.
Beyond her professional achievements, Jodi serves on the boards of Ka 'Ohana O Kalaupapa and Kualapu'u Public Charter School, actively supporting leadership development and community initiatives.
In her free time, Jodi enjoys gardening and relaxing poolside, finding peace in the island she has nurtured. She continues to uplift everyone around her, and we are grateful for her ongoing contributions.
The Senate of the Thirty-Third Legislature of the State of Hawaii hereby recognizes and commends Jodi Puaoi for her outstanding achievements and dedication to our community. Mahalo for your service and commitment, Jodi! We send our warmest aloha and best wishes for your health, happiness, and continued success! ππ
