A massive thank you to Cathryn Cofell, Appleton’s very first Poet Laureate, for joining our Appleton Breakfast Rotary Club meeting today. 📝✨

What an absolute honor it was to have her present to our group and to hear her read two of her honorary poems.

Cathryn has such a remarkable gift for illuminating the true meaning of creative expression through poetry. Her passion for instilling the value of art into the fabric of our community is deeply inspiring.

Listening to her was a powerful reminder that expressive art is profoundly healing in all areas of life. Whether we are creating or simply absorbing the creativity of others, art provides a necessary space for reflection, emotional connection, and renewal in our daily routines.

Thank you, Cathryn, for bringing your artistry, your voice, and your inspiring vision to our club this morning!

Good morning, Fox Valley! ☀️

The Appleton Breakfast Rotary Club would like to extend a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to Miriam Boleyn-Fitzgerald and Marta Statz from the Kindness Project for speaking to our club this week! We are incredibly grateful you took the time to share your mission with us.
For those who may not know, the Kindness Project (housed within the Community Early Learning Center) is doing incredible work right here in our community. Using a science-based program called the "Kindness Curriculum," they work directly with early childhood teachers, families, and students to teach essential life skills like empathy, compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness.

Through mindfulness and emotional literacy practices, they have already trained over 200 early childhood educators in the Fox Valley area and positively impacted over 1,800 children! They are even helping parents learn adult mindfulness practices to coincide with what their children are learning, providing vital coping tools for local families.

🤝 Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Members of the Appleton Breakfast Rotary Club had the privilege of serving dinner at the Pillars Adult Shelter right here in Appleton.

Community isn't just about the places we live, it's about the people we lift up. Sharing a hot meal is a small gesture, but it’s rooted in a deep commitment to humanity, dignity, and making sure our neighbors know they are supported.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Pillars for the incredible, vital work they do every day to shelter and support individuals in the Fox Valley! Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community.

In just ONE year, so much has grown and it’s all because of YOU. 💛

We are hosting a Sensory Expansion Reveal to showcase the incredible upgrades and expanded sensory space we were able to accomplish in our first year of business. This celebration is a heartfelt thank you to our amazing clients and families for your consistent support, and to the Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce for the generous small business grant that helped make this expansion possible.

We will kick off the evening with an official ribbon cutting with the Chamber, followed by time to explore our newly expanded sensory space, connect with our community, and celebrate one year of impact together.
