Community Service Program Area: Civic Engagement
The Clover Club of Kaufman was pleased to welcome Tandy Smith, Kaufman County Elections Administrator, as our October program presenter.
Tandy provided an informative training on becoming a Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR). Volunteer Deputy Registrars play an important role in our communities by helping eligible citizens register to vote, making the voting process more accessible and encouraging civic participation throughout Kaufman County.
Members learned about the responsibilities of a VDR and how volunteers can serve their communities by registering new voters and helping ensure every eligible citizen has the opportunity to participate in our democratic process.
We also proudly celebrated GFWC World Day of Singing, joining clubwomen around the world in recognizing the joy and fellowship that music brings to our organization.
A special thank you to our gracious hostesses, Rhonda Corn-Kidd and Alison Hunt, for the beautiful refreshments and warm hospitality that made the meeting so enjoyable.
