This learning experience is part of our Student Success Series.

Students participating in this program will develop public speaking and leadership skills, learn more about the free enterprise system and hear from engaging motivational speakers. Plus, they’ll dive deeper into digital advocacy efforts and participate in a media training.

Thrive will take place July 31 - Aug. 2 in Waco.

Registration closes July 14 and is limited to the first 150 students who sign up.

The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), on behalf of the Texas Agricultural Finance Authority (TAFA), is pleased to announce that the Agricultural Production Resource Opportunity (AgPro) Grant Program is now open for applications.

AgPro provides financial assistance to eligible agricultural producers to support the creation, expansion, and long-term sustainability of agricultural operations in Texas.

Application Timeline

· Application Opens: April 1, 2026

· Application Deadline: May 14, 2026 at 5:00 PM Central Time

Funding Overview

· Award amounts range from $5,000 to $500,000

· Grant Applications are competitive

· Cost share (match) is required and varies by award amount

o $100,000 or less: 10% match

o $100,000.01 – $250,000.00: 20% match

o $250,000.01 – $500,000.00: 30% match

· Funding is provided on a cost-reimbursement basis

Who May Apply
Eligible applicants must be agricultural producers directly engaged in production (such as farming, ranching, forestry, aquaculture, or nursery operations) and must be domiciled in Texas. Additional eligibility requirements apply and are detailed in the RFGA.

Applications must be submitted through TDA’s online grants system (TDA-GO). Applicants are encouraged to begin early to allow sufficient time to complete all required components.

Please note that applications must be fully submitted by the deadline. The system will automatically close at 5:00 PM CT, and late submissions cannot be accepted.

Texas students in the graduating class of 2028 and 2029 (sophomores or juniors in August 2026) can sign up for our ENGAGE program!

This learning experience is part of our Student Success Series.

Students participating in this program will engage with community leaders in agriculture and western industries and learn more about social media and navigating digital environments. Plus, they’ll learn about Farm Bureau and the free enterprise system AND tour a local agricultural operation.

The FREE in-person events will take place in each of TFB’s 13 districts in April and May.

Kaufman County Farm Bureau is awarding up to 3 scholarships to deserving and outstanding youth in Kaufman County. The scholarships are for $1000 each and will be awarded on April 23, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY OF APPLICANT
To be eligible, a student must:
· Be a family member of Kaufman County Farm Bureau for at least one (1) year prior to applying for the Scholarship.
· Be a 2026 graduate of a high school/Private School/Homeschool in Kaufman County.
· Have been an active member in a school organizations (ie- member of Honor Society, 4-H/FFA/FCCLA)
· Meet entrance requirements of a Texas college, university, or technical school.
· Enroll full-time in a Texas college, university, or technical school in the Fall of 2026.
· Plan to major in an Agriculture or Family and Consumer Sciences related field.
· Submit SAT and/or ACT test scores. (May be provided on transcript.)
· Submit FAFSA
· Attach an official copy of high school transcript.
· Submit the completed application and attachments by March 2, 2026.
