About the Norville Children's Center

The facility opened its doors in August of 1985 and has continued to provide for emergency needs of the abused and neglected child. The mission and goals of the governing bodies, the management and the staff are to have a positive and lasting impact on the life of the abused child and to give each child the memory of a good and healthy experience in a loving home-like environment.

The Kaufman County Children’s Emergency Shelter is known throughout the State of Texas, through the Child Protective Service industry, as a model facility in providing a quality environment for the abused and neglected child.

Survey seeks input for transportation solutions on the eastern side of the region

If you missed the public meeting on transportation solutions being sought for parts of eastern Dallas, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties and you want to provide your input, there is still time to do so. The Eastern Dallas, Kaufman, and Rockwall Counties Regional Transit Survey is open until October 13. North Texans who live, work, or go to school in this area are encouraged to participate.

This study aims to develop a comprehensive public transportation plan for cities in eastern Dallas County that are not members of Dallas Area Rapid Transit, as well as Kaufman and Rockwall counties. To complete the survey visit publicinput.com/edkrsurvey.
